Mangrove Planting Activity at Nesat Phum Thmei Community in Kep province 2024

MAXIMA Green Cambodia Campaign, our slogan “Each One Plant One”.

As an initiative towards environment sustainability followed the sustainable development goals, on 07 September 2024 marked MAXIMA as the third Mangrove Planting Activity at Nesat Phum Thmei Community in Kep province.

The mangrove plants that we planted last year keep growing while this year we planted another 200 mangrove plants. As part of consideration for the environment, mangrove plays a crucial role in maintaining coastal areas and the ecosystems by absorbing carbon dioxide, protecting the shorelines from flood and soil erosion.

We will wait and see our mangrove plant becomes the mangrove forest in the next 5 to 15 years. At Maxima Microfinance Institution, we believe in growth – not only financially, but also in our commitment to the environment.

Mangrove Planting Activity at Nesat Phum Thmei Community in Kep province

Mangrove Planting Activity at Nesat Phum Thmei Community in Kep province was attended by 94 staff on 16 September 2023 with an estimated 500 Mangrove plants planted. As part of consideration for the environment, mangrove plays a crucial role in maintaining coastal areas and the ecosystems by absorbing carbon dioxide, protecting the shorelines from flood and soil erosion.

At Maxima Microfinance Institution, we believe in growth – not only financially, but also in our commitment to the environment. MAXIMA started the resumption of our “Maxima Green Cambodia Campaign” event. ​​In Kep province, MAXIMA embarked on the second mangrove planting initiative, reaffirming the dedication to sustainable development.

Green Cambodia Campaign at Chheur Teal Village

On 31st of July 2016, MAXIMA staff planted 120 Tree at Chheur Teal Primary School locates in Chheur Teal Village, Prek Anchanh Commune, Kandal Province. 88 staff attend the event together with 5 family member of the staff to plant different kinds of tree including: Korkey, Beng, and Chheur Teal.

“Each one plant one”, the slogan of the event MAXIMA Green Cambodia Campaign, MAXIMA continues planting trees for school. On 25 June 2017, MAXIMA arranged the Green Cambodia Campaign at Prey Mouk Village, Srae Rornorng Commune, Tram Kak District Takeo Province. MAXIMA planted 100 luxury trees: Korkey, and Chher Teal. The event attended by 116 people: 30 students, 1 school principle, 65 MAXIMA staff and staff’s family , and 20 representative officers from Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

On 25 June 2017, MAXIMA arranged the Green Cambodia Campaign at Prey Mouk Village, Srae Rornorng Commune, Tram Kak District Takeo Province. MAXIMA planted 100 luxury trees: Korkey, and Chher Teal. The event attended by 116 people: 30 students, 1 school principle, 65 MAXIMA staff and staff’s family , and 20 representative officers from Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

On 15 July 2017, MAXIMA arranged the Green Cambodia Campaign at Tnout Village, Roka Commune, Pearang District, Preyveng Province. MAXIMA planted 100 luxury trees: Korkey, and Chher Teal. The event attended by 116 people: 30 students, 5 teachers, 1 local authority and 31 Maxima staff.
